President’s Message
Greetings all,
It is my honor and privilege to serve as the President of Texas Indo-American Physicians Society, Southwest Chapter for the year 2023-2024.
Since its inception 33 years back, TIPSSW has and always will remain a platform to promote networking opportunities while celebrating our common roots and culture. TIPSSW will also always be a voice for physicians of Indian origin. One of the most important things that TIPS SW believes in is giving back to the local community. The pandemic made it difficult to achieve all the aforementioned ideas. The goal in the next couple of years will be to resurrect TIPS SW, encourage new physicians in the community to be a part of the organization and come up with new ways to encourage physicians of Indian origin to be a source of support for each other.
TIPS Junior Volunteer Program is a big part of TIPS. There’s nothing more heartwarming than to see our young volunteers help the community in different ways. TIPS SW reiterates our moral and financial commitment to TIPS JVP as they consider expanding their initiatives to the Indian community and beyond.
Yoga which I consider necessary to be physically and mentally well is a big passion of mine and TIPS has always supported our local yoga community, which is definitely needed now more than ever.
There’s so much that we can achieve together and I am very excited to get started. Our organization derives strength and vitality from its members. Let’s work together to make TIPSSW stronger and a greater source of support to not just the Indian community but all of San Antonio.
