TIPS-SW Philanthropy & Giving — Support Texas Community Health

TIPS-SW physicians are committed to serving communities beyond the clinic. Your generosity funds scholarships, community health programs, and initiatives that change lives.

Philanthropy campaigns are governed by the TIPS-SW Philanthropy Committee — a standing committee of board-certified physician members of TIPS-SW, a 501(c)(3) medical association.

2026 Community Health Fund

Our annual flagship campaign supporting Walk With A Doc, Be Fit Be Cool, and the Junior Volunteer Program across all nine TIPS-SW Texas chapters. Every dollar stays in the community and goes directly to programming — TIPS-SW is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3), with zero salaried staff.

Walk With A Doc (WWAD)
Monthly community walks

Monthly physician-led community walks across 9 Texas cities — breaking down barriers between doctors and patients while promoting cardiovascular health.

Junior Volunteer Program (JVP)
Open to ages 8–18

A structured junior volunteer program for the children of TIPS-SW members — students earn documented community service hours (including hours toward the Presidential Volunteer Service Award), develop leadership, and give back across San Antonio.

Be Fit Be Cool (BFBC)
Texas school partnerships

Physician-led youth fitness and nutrition education in Texas schools, directly combating childhood obesity in underserved communities.
